There are various times when all of us get a little down and may be even a little depressed in life. After all we all are human beings and experiencing such feelings at times is genuine. But caution - sticking to those feelings and thinking about them all the time makes life miserable and unhappy. So, guess every person should have an onus to fight against such feelings whenever they start corrupting ones mind.
Recently, I was talking to my best friend and she seemed to be totally lost in dismay. Sometimes I wonder - what really bothers people. Even if they have best of things in life - I mean education, marriage, children, family, monetary status but still people are bothered and frustrated complaining about one or other thing. Cribbing about people seems to be their hobby.
After talking to my friend for one long hour, I came to know that the reason behind her depression and frustration was - routine and boredom. Actually, boredom and following a set routine is a general complaint which many of us face. No matter whether one is single or married- routine and boredom is part and parcel of life. Now, the main question which needs to be answered is - how does one eliminate the plagues of boredom and routine.
Well the first thing which I would really suggest (to someone one going through such feeling) is - talk about it. Get a significant other – may be your best friend, family member or colleague. Bend their ear, that is what they are their for. Do not keep anything confined to yourself which might result you being in more depression.
If you think you really don’t have any one (which can be a rare case) best think to do is locate the root cause of why are you bored. Once you have done that half your problem is solved. Playing your favourite game, listening to your favourite songs, reading a book, taking a hot water bath, taking a long stroll in the garden, looking at the sunset/sunrise are some other ways to feel relaxed. And in case nothing seems to work - practice some meditation at early morning and see how it works. :)
Perceiving things and people in my own way.........because perception makes the difference.....!

Friendship Vs Friendliness - Discourse by Osho
Friendship is a relationship. You can be in relationship with a few people. Friendliness is a quality not a relationship. It has nothing to do with anybody else, it is basically your inner quality. You can be friendly even when you are alone. You cannot be in friendship when you are alone - the other is needed - but friendliness is a kind of fragrance. A flower opens in the jungle, nobody passes by - still it is fragrant. It does not matter whether anybody comes to know of it or not, it is its quality. Nobody may ever come to know about it, but that does not matter. The flower is rejoicing. Friendship can exist only between one man and another man or at the most between a man and an animal - a horse, a dog. But friendliness can exist even with a rock, with a river, with a mountain, with a cloud, with a far-away star. Friendliness is unlimited because it is not dependent on the other, it is absolutely your own flowering.
So, be friendly, just friendly to all that exists. And in that friendliness you will find all that is worth finding. In friendliness you will find the ultimate friend.

The man and the victory
Facing a debacle in 2004 General Elections, BJP has come out with a thumbing victory in the assembly elections held some days back in Gujarat with Narandra Modi on a hat trick. What does that mean?? This simply implies that this man (BJP party) has got some potential and people of Gujarat have approved his work since past five years. They have positively voted for continued growth and development of their state.Inspite of all the mud sledding people of Gujarat have given Modi and BJP party a green signal and a respectful mandate.
Many accuse Modi of being a person responsible for the slaughter of hundreds and thousands minority people. They consider him being the most ardent and fiery orator but the result of the assemble elections in which BJP has whole got 117 out of 182 seats shows that man and his victory is unstoppable.
Now the question arises will the victory change the national politics? Let us wait and watch as the mystery continues to unfold. :)

Everything happens for a reason - author unknown
Sometimes people come into your life and you know right away that they were meant to be there - to serve some sort of purpose, teach you a lesson or help figure out who you are or who you want to become. You never know who these people may be but when you look eyes with them, you know that every moment that you are with them, they will affect your life in some profound way. And sometimes things happen to you at the time that may seem horrible, painful and unfair, but in reflection you realize that without overcoming those obstacles you would have never realized your potential, strength, will power or heart.
Everything happens for a reason! Nothing happens by chance or by means of good luck. Illness, injury, love, lost moments of true greatness and sheer stupidity all occur to test the limits of your soul. Without these small tests, life would be like a smoothly paved, straight, flat road to nowhere, safe and comfortable but dull and utterly pointless.
The people you meet affect your life, the successes and downfalls that you experience can create who you are, and the bad experiences can be learned from. In fact, they are probably the most poignant and important ones. If someone hurts you, betrays you or breaks your heart, forgive them because they have helped you learn about trust and the importance of being cautious to whom you open your heart. If someone loves you, love them back unconditionally not only because they love you, but also because they are teaching you to love and open your heart and eyes to little things.
MAKE EVERYDAY COUNT! Appreciate every moment and take from it everything that you possibly can, for you may never be able to experience it again. Talk to people who you have never talked to before and actually listen. Let yourself fall in love, even if it doesn't seem right because you are too young or too far, just follow your heart. Surround yourself with those who make you smile, laugh and make you happy.Break free and set your sights high. Hold your head up because you have every right to. Tell yourself you are a great individual and believe in yourself, for if you don't believe in yourself, no one else will believe in you. Create your own life then LET GO and LIVE IT!

If tomorrow comes
Sometimes nothing matters in life. You wake up from a deep slumber and realize that there are loads of things to be done but postponing things of high importance has become your hobby. The reason being - you are quite lazy to do things.
Postponement is simply unintelligent. Tomorrow you will also have to decide, so why not today? And do you think that tomorrow you will be wiser than today? Do you think that tomorrow you will be nimble than today? Tomorrow you will be older, your courage will be less. Tomorrow death will come closer and you will start wavering and being more afraid. Never postpone for the tomorrow. And who knows? (Kal Ho Na Ho!). Tomorrow may come or may not come. If you have to decide you have to decide right now. Make up your mind. Don't let the present moment go from your hands.
Tomorrow never comes, they say, but no matter how often it is said, it seems that most of us tend to forget the truth of it. In fact, the one and only result of postponing things is a dull and depressing feeling of incompletion. The relief and happiness you will feel once you put aside all the dithering thoughts that are preventing you from acting now will make you wonder why you ever waited so long.

Watch Out!! - Ever wondered why some make it big?
The most successful top level executives were not necessarily the smartest kids in the class, nor was their education or pedigree. They were just ordinary people who rose to become extraordinary leaders with time. Archetypal life-shaping experiences contributed to them turning out as extraordinary leaders with time.
Some common traits have emerged that have made them successful and a source of inspiration for others to follow: First is their character that makes them always act in good purpose of the enterprise. Second is their appetite to lead and always in charge of the situation, critically examining ones own values, beliefs, behaviors and even if it is not ones job always figuring out root of the problem or opportunity. Third is the capacity to take calculated personal risk without specific knowledge of how to succeed. Fourth is the innate capacity to be decisive at all times and making tough choices. Fifth is the ability to inspire and engage all. Selling something and getting others to buy in. Connecting with others and understanding what motivates others – also walking the talk and speaking their language, enlisting them as much by ones own deeds than just words. Sixth is being a parent at work, helping others to grow and to perform exceptionally.
Last, being a team builder. Gathering and leading a group in common endeavor, and succeeding, thus making average players to play like stars. Adding new members and weeding out underperformers. Setting direction and changing it while keeping them together. (Extract from - Business World)
