Love

LOVE – A simple and sweet four letter word - craze for present generation and pride for the older lot. Sometimes, I do wonder what love is all about. Becoming an insomniac, thinking of some one in particular, butterflies in stomach, heart beat rising fast at one instant and going slow at the same instant, loss of appetite. Is that all what love is about………..Naaaaaa!!!! Must be something more to it......

Well, Dr.M.Scott Peck (author of The Road Less Travelled) explains – Love is too large, too deep to be truly understood or measured or limited within the frame work of words. Its actually the will to extend ones’ self for the purpose of nurturing one’s or another’s spiritual growth. The act of loving is an act of self - evolution even when the purpose of the act is someone else’s growth. Love is an act of will which implies choice. No matter how much we may think we are loving, if we are infact not loving, its because we have chosen not to love.

Two people love each other only when they are quite capable of living without each other but choose to live with each other. When we require another individual for our survival, we become a parasite on that individual. There is no choice, no freedom involved in the relationship. It is a matter of necessity rather than love.

Love is too vast to be explained. To some it can be a feeling, for others it can be a sort of commitment. I think being in love should mean - “Expect little and seek to give more”.

Love...What is love?
Love is an emotion which cannot be expressed in words.
Love is pure; Love is simple yet so exciting.

The true meaning of love can't be found in any written book in this world, because love is omnipresent. Love is a journey, a journey which is never ending, a journey which teaches you, preaches you to be kind, to be understanding and above all to be honest.
A journey which can be traveled by anyone from an infant in his mother's lap to a septuagenarian who dislikes his walking stick. There is no age bar for love. Love for me is more spiritual than physical. Love for me is being closer to god. Love for me is falling in love again and again with the person you love. Love for me is invincible.

I completely agree with Dr. M Scott, that yes love is too large, too deep to be truly understood or measured or limited within the frame work of words.
But what I feel is one can truly cherish love only when he is "IN LOVE" -

In love with nature, In love with mankind, In love with god, and non the less he should be in love with himself.
So my friend you are right, Love is not a simple and sweet four letter word it is a world in itself. Love is hope, Love is bliss in fact love is life.
Life full of love is a life full of eternal happiness.
Nice post!!! Worth reading.
