Looking Within

There are times when I want solace - solace from life, from relationships, from mundane affairs of life. There are times when I want to go back to my mother's lap and curl like a new born who just needs her care and warmth....when I want to be like a baby and forget the world, but I cannot as I am no more an infant. The best way to find solace is to - "Look Within".

Now what do I mean by 'looking within' ? Looking within could mean looking for the answers which one constantly seeks from oneself. It could be a reflection of various events which have happened in the past or which happen in life. It might mean 'looking for some state of consciousness'. It could also mean an attainment of spiritual bliss or harmony between ones mind and heart. Your inner self is a vast ocean and there are treasures which a person seeks.

As far as I am concerned, it is creating an awareness about oneself. I believe that there is a world out there...deep inside, within oneself (as much as there is a world outside) that comes alive with thoughts and experiences whenever you care to spend time and listen to it. When one seeks this inner world, one gains the joy of knowing things that are inexplicable and one tends to attain clarity from within.

Looking into yourself especially during any emotional upheaval neutralizes the emotion. It is what we all need to be aware of and practice. It will bring a whole new meaning and purpose to life.
